Beer Engine Check Valve | Cask Ale Non Return Valve – 3/8"
The Beer Engine Check Valve is a non-return valve designed for traditional cask ale and handpull beer engine dispense systems. It allows beer to flow towards the beer engine while helping prevent product from flowing backwards through the line.
This industry-standard cask ale check valve features a 3/8" (9.5mm) push-fit connection at one end and a 1/2" (12.7mm) smooth stem tail at the other, allowing straightforward integration into compatible real ale dispense pipework.
Ideal for pubs, breweries, taprooms and other venues serving traditional cask conditioned ale through handpull beer engines.
Cask Ale Beer Engine Non Return Valve
A beer engine check valve, also known as a non-return valve or NRV, is fitted within the cask ale dispense line to control the direction of product flow.
The internal valve allows beer to travel towards the beer engine when the handpull is operated while helping prevent reverse flow back through the dispense line.
This makes it an important component in many traditional cask ale dispense installations.

Check Valve for Handpull Beer Engines
Traditional beer engines and handpull systems rely on correctly installed dispense components to draw cask ale from the barrel to the bar.
The check valve helps maintain the required direction of flow through the system by allowing beer to move towards the handpull while restricting unwanted reverse flow.
The 3/8" push-fit inlet provides a quick connection to compatible beverage pipe, while the 1/2" smooth stem can be connected to a suitable push-fit fitting within the dispense system.
Replacement Cask Ale Check Valve
This cask beer engine check valve is suitable for new real ale installations as well as replacing an existing worn or damaged non-return valve.
Ideal for pubs, real ale bars, breweries, taprooms, beer festivals and professional drinks dispense engineers installing or maintaining traditional cask ale equipment.
A useful spare component for any venue operating handpull beer engines and cask conditioned ale systems.
