The Python Temperature Control Unit (PTC) is a floor-standing cask ale cooler designed to circulate chilled water through a python system, helping maintain the correct temperature of real ale beer lines between the cellar and dispense point.

Unlike a conventional remote beer cooler, this PTC beer cooler contains no internal product coils. Instead, chilled water is circulated through the python to provide temperature control for the beer lines, making it particularly suitable for cask conditioned ale and real ale dispense systems.

With a compact footprint, 28-litre water tank and R290 refrigeration, the PTC provides a practical cooling solution for pubs, bars and traditional cask ale installations.

Real Ale Cooler for Python Systems

This cask ale PTC cooler is designed specifically for installations where temperature-controlled water needs to be circulated alongside the beer lines within a python.

It can be used as part of a traditional real ale dispense system to help maintain a consistent beer line temperature from the cellar through to the beer engine or dispense point.

Its relatively small footprint makes it suitable for installation in cellars and other areas where space is limited.

Important – No Product Coils

The PTC does not contain product cooling coils.

Beer does not pass through the cooler itself. Instead, the unit chills and circulates water through the python surrounding the beer lines.

For longer python runs or installations requiring greater circulation performance, a larger external circulation pump may be required.
