BD-AV1 Cask Aspirating Valve – CO₂ Cask Breather for Real Ale

The BD-AV1 Cask Aspirating Valve is a CO₂-fed cask breather for traditional hand-pull beer systems. As beer is drawn from an open cask, it supplies CO₂ to help replace the air that would otherwise enter, helping maintain the condition of your real ale for longer.

Connect the valve to a suitable CO₂ beer-gas supply, such as an existing system or a dedicated supply. The BD-AV1 can be connected to up to eight casks using compatible cask vents, spiles or Widge valves.

How the BD-AV1 Cask Breather Works

When beer is dispensed from a cask, the BD-AV1 allows CO₂ to enter in its place. This helps reduce the cask’s exposure to air while keeping the system suitable for traditional hand-pull dispense.
