Serve real ale from an upright cask with the Single Flexible Ale Extractor. Designed to supply one beer engine or handpull, this cask ale float system provides a practical way to dispense cask-conditioned beer without a conventional horizontal racking system.

The flexible silicone tube and floating inlet draw beer from just below the surface, helping to keep settled sediment out of the beer line. It is suitable for pubs, taprooms and event bars looking to simplify cask handling and serve clearer beer.

How the Cask Ale Float System Works

The extractor passes through the fitted body into the cask. Inside, the float holds the tube inlet beneath the beer’s surface and moves down as the cask empties.

This allows beer to be drawn from above the settled sediment, helping to maintain clarity during dispense. Correct tube length is essential for the float to operate properly.

What’s Included?

Each Single Flexible Ale Extractor kit contains:

• 1 × ale extractor body with blanking plug
• 1 × complete single outlet assembly
• 1 × silicone tube in the selected cask size
• 1 × ale extractor float
• 1 × single hop filter
• 1 × 1/2" tail
• 1 × nut

One extractor body is included as standard. An additional body can be selected for easier cask changes.

Choose Your Thread and Cask Size

Select the configuration that matches your cask and existing dispense fittings:

• Thread options: 3/4" BSP, L Thread or Y Thread
• Cask sizes: Pin, Firkin or Kilderkin
• Extra body: Choose with or without an additional extractor body

Check the required outlet thread and cask size before ordering. Choosing the correct tube length allows the floating inlet to move as intended throughout dispense.

Prepare Your Next Cask in Advance

A spare extractor body, also known as a collar or broach, allows you to tap and prepare the next cask before the current one is empty.

At changeover, transfer the extractor into the prepared cask. This helps reduce delays when changing casks during service.

Installation and Care

The required washers and hop filter must be correctly fitted for efficient operation. Clean the extractor as part of your regular cask dispense cleaning routine.
